Digital Solutions Senior Manager

Role Overview

Digital Solutions Senior Manager at wasl, reporting to the Head of Business Relationship & Delivery Management within the Information Technology department.

Role Purpose

Lead the organization's digital solution capability by managing Digital Solution Experts across enterprise technologies, translating business requirements into practical technology options, and driving technology simplification, modernization, and continuous enhancement of the digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop the Digital Solution team, ensuring clear ownership and deep functional knowledge across assigned technology domains, platforms, and digital capabilities.
• Build capability within the Digital Solution team through knowledge sharing, technology updates, structured learning, and cross-platform collaboration.

Digital Platform & Capability Management

• Maintain a comprehensive view of enterprise digital capabilities across platforms including SAP, Salesforce, SAP Analytics Cloud, Oracle Unifier, Sprinklr, mobility, automation, digital experience, and related technologies.
• Conduct periodic technology capability reviews to identify gaps, duplication, obsolete solutions, integration opportunities, and areas for platform consolidation or modernization.
• Promote standardization and reuse of enterprise technology capabilities to reduce unnecessary customization, duplication, and solution complexity.

Solution Design & Advisory

• Partner with Portfolio Managers and business stakeholders during ideation and requirement definition to identify appropriate technology solutions and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into feasible solution options, balancing business value, user experience, scalability, integration, delivery speed, cost, and long-term sustainability.
• Develop and oversee high-level solution blueprints that define platform usage, integration requirements, solution dependencies, and key technology considerations before transition to delivery teams.
• Assess and recommend the appropriate technology approach, including configuration of existing platforms, development of new capabilities, reuse of existing solutions, or acquisition of external technologies.

Enterprise Architecture & Integration

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure proposed solutions align with architectural principles, enterprise data models, integration frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, and technology standards.
• Work closely with the Application Development & Maintenance team to ensure effective transition from solution design to development, configuration, testing, and implementation.

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

• Evaluate emerging technologies and digital capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, automation, enhanced customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Engage technology vendors and solution providers to evaluate products, conduct demonstrations or pilots, and assess their suitability against organizational requirements.

Governance & Quality Assurance

• Establish and maintain solution design governance to ensure consistency, quality, reusability, interoperability, and compliance across digital initiatives.
• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of solution recommendations and design outputs, incorporating lessons learned and stakeholder feedback into continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in digital solutions, solution architecture, enterprise applications, technology consulting, or digital transformation.
• 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience across enterprise digital platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, CRM, analytics, mobility, automation, integration, or digital experience technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in solution design, technology evaluation, system integration, and build-versus-configure-versus-buy assessment.
• Experience working across business, Enterprise Architecture, and application delivery teams in complex technology environments.

Desirable

• Master's degree in Technology, Digital Transformation, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience within real estate, asset management, hospitality, leisure, or other complex customer-facing industries.
• Relevant certifications in enterprise platforms, cloud, solution architecture, digital transformation, or agile delivery.
• Exposure to AI, automation, data platforms, and emerging digital technologies.

• Apply strong knowledge of enterprise platforms including ERP, CRM, analytics, digital experience, mobility, and automation technologies.

• Evaluate and recommend the most appropriate solution approach based on business, technology, cost, and delivery considerations.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, data, integration, security, and technology standards.
• Assess emerging technologies and identify relevant opportunities for innovation and business improvement.
• Apply governance principles to improve solution consistency, quality, reuse, and technology simplification.
• Assess vendors, products, and technology options against functional and technical requirements.
• Engage effectively with business, technology, architecture, and delivery stakeholders to align solution decisions.

Operates within a complex digital transformation environment involving multiple enterprise platforms, business functions, and technology stakeholders.

Decision Authority

Recommends solution approaches, validates technology fit, and governs high-level solution design within approved architecture and technology standards. Exercises judgment on technology options, reuse, configuration, integration, and solution suitability, while escalating major architectural exceptions, strategic technology investments, or significant commercial decisions through appropriate governance channels.

Financial Responsibilities

Support technology investment decisions by evaluating solution options, licensing implications, vendor proposals, and total cost considerations. Contribute to business cases and ensure recommended solutions balance business value, scalability, and cost efficiency within approved budgets and governance frameworks.

Internal & External Relationships

Internal: Head of Business Relationship & Delivery Management, Portfolio Managers, Enterprise Architecture, Application Development & Maintenance, Data and Analytics, Cybersecurity, Business Transformation teams, and relevant business stakeholders.

External: Technology vendors, platform providers, system integrators, consultants, managed service providers, and specialist digital solution partners.
