DHA Endocrinologist Specialist and/or Consultant - ongoing vacancy

Role Overview

DHA Endocrinologist Specialist and/or Consultant at Metabolic Health. This is an ongoing vacancy position.

Role Purpose

To provide clinical leadership and expertise in diabetes and endocrine care, supporting remote patient monitoring initiatives, program development, and clinical excellence across the organization's diabetes management services.

Key Responsibilities

Diabetes Management & Technology

• Participate in and support all initiatives involving diabetes management, including remote patient monitoring and all related technology platforms GluCare creates.
• Serve as a clinical resource for GluCare medical personnel.

Program Development & Policy

• Work with nursing and operational teams to set and implement program policies and priorities for the diabetes management program.
• Participate in the establishment of specific programs and clinics, such as thyroid management and weight loss management.

Clinical Collaboration & Liaison

• Establish collaborative relationships with community-based endocrinologists, serving as a liaison between providers, families, and schools.
• Conduct case management for staff with complex needs related to diabetes and endocrine care.

Training, Quality & Research

• Work with operational and nursing clinical leadership to conduct staff training, presentations, quality improvement activities, research, community outreach, and other special projects.
• Participate in clinical accreditation of the facility.

Professional Development & Compliance

• Keep abreast of health management policy statements and emerging research, technology, and protocols within the health community related to diabetes management.
• Understand, follow, and support all hospital infection control programs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree and US board certification (or equivalence) in Endocrinology or Diabetology.
• DHA medical license to practice Endocrinology in the UAE.
• Thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Proficiency with computers and medical equipment.
• Ability to speak multiple languages is advantageous.
