Devops Engineer

Role Overview

DevOps Engineer at Alfanar. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation tools that support the software development lifecycle.

Role Purpose

Collaborate closely with development, QC, and IT operations teams to streamline deployment processes, ensure system reliability, and enhance scalability and performance in cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools.

Infrastructure Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Implement and manage containerization using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and ECS.

System Automation

• Automate system configurations, deployments, and scaling using configuration management tools such as Ansible.

Security & Compliance

• Maintain and improve system security, compliance, and backup strategies.

Performance & Capacity Planning

• Conduct regular system performance testing, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and resilience.

Documentation & Operations

• Document processes, procedures, and environments to ensure operational excellence.

Delivery & Execution

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide periodic reports detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving

• Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues.

Quality & Process Improvement

• Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures and seek automation opportunities.

Compliance & Safety

• Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products and services.

Continuous Learning

• Obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• 4 to 6 years of work experience.
