Role Overview
Designer - Lingerie at Apparel Group. This position is responsible for designing lingerie ranges using computer-aided design tools while collaborating with fashion departments to meet established briefs.
Role Purpose
Develop and visualize lingerie design concepts using CAD software, working closely with buying, planning, and forecasting teams to create products that align with customer needs, market demands, and price points.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Visualization
- Create and visualize design ideas using computer-aided design (CAD).
- Produce designs using latest design software including Illustrator and Photoshop.
Range Development
- Plan and develop lingerie ranges.
- Work with buyers and forecasters to develop products to meet the established brief.
- Understand design from a technical perspective.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise closely with buying and planning teams on an ongoing basis.
- Work closely with other fashion departments in designing assigned clothing and fashion ranges.
- Ensure items suit the customer, market, and price points.
Trend Monitoring
- Keep up to date with emerging fashion trends.
- Monitor general trends relating to fabrics, colors, and shapes.
Execution
- Multitask effectively across multiple design projects.
- Maintain a proactive approach to responsibilities.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools.
- Advanced skills in Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of fashion trend forecasting.
- Technical design understanding.
