Role Overview
Design Manager - Structural & Civil at WSP in the Middle East. The successful candidate will oversee structural and civil engineering design activities and ensure engineering solutions are fully coordinated, practical, and aligned with project objectives.

Role Purpose
Support the successful design and delivery of major development projects within a growing developer portfolio by managing structural and civil engineering consultants, coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs, and ensuring all engineering solutions meet project requirements and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design Management & Coordination
- Manage structural and civil engineering consultants and design deliverables.
- Coordinate engineering inputs across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Coordinate interfaces between buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and public realm elements.
Technical Review & Compliance
- Review engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and technical submissions.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Support technical decision-making throughout design development.
Performance & Planning
- Monitor consultant performance and programme commitments.
- Participate in design reviews, risk workshops, and value engineering exercises.
Additional Support
- Assist with tender reviews and construction support activities when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience on large-scale mixed-use, residential, commercial, or hospitality developments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of structural systems, infrastructure integration, and design coordination.
