Role Overview
Deployed Engineer - Doha at Cognition. This is a customer-facing technical role supporting the deployment and adoption of Devin and Windsurf, Cognition's AI software engineering platform, across the MENA region.

Cognition is an applied AI lab building end-to-end software agents. The company created Devin, the first AI software engineer, and Windsurf, an AI-native IDE. Role Purpose
Deployed Engineers are customer-facing technical experts who help customers maximize value from Devin and Windsurf. You will work directly with engineering teams to understand workflows, identify high-impact use cases, and deploy the Cognition platform into production environments. This role combines hands-on technical work, customer partnership, and rapid execution.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Lifecycle & Deployment
- Own all technical aspects of the customer lifecycle from deployment through activation.
- Ensure customers are successful using Devin.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical challenges and identify the best use cases for Devin to be a productive contributor.
Customer Relationship & Adoption
- Build deep relationships with customers' engineering teams to ensure smooth product integration and adoption.
- Activate top users and drive product utilization.
- Lead demos and pilots.
- Support integrations.
- Drive adoption of the Cognition platform from the inside out.
- Serve a broad range of clients, switching context frequently.
- Stay ahead of issues before they become blockers.
Product Development & Advocacy
- Listen always to customer feedback and maintain bias towards implementing requested features yourself.
- Advocate for customers' needs with the rest of the team.
- Exercise product instincts to help set the roadmap.
- Act as the customer oracle.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong engineering foundation from a rigorous technical environment.
- Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance in whatever you've pursued, whether academic, athletic, professional, or entrepreneurial.
- Experience writing and debugging real software systems.
- Have worked at an early-stage startup or in a role where you operated well beyond your job description (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python or TypeScript (preferred).
- Strong communication skills; can hold your own with senior engineers and executives alike.
- Self-directed by default; do not need a manager to tell you what to do next or how to prioritize.
- Technical curiosity; enjoy digging into unfamiliar systems and understanding how they really work.
- Bias toward execution; move quickly from problem to solution.
- High tolerance for ambiguity, intensity, and sustained effort when the problem demands it.
- Grit; comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-intensity environments.
- Customer empathy; care deeply about how engineers work and what helps them succeed.
- Ownership mindset; take responsibility for results, not just tasks.
- Exploratory rigor; poke at edges, ask uncomfortable questions, and find problems before they find you.
- Learn quickly by being embedded in challenging, real-world environments (preferred).
