Role Purpose
To support kitchen operations in the Restaurant while maintaining safety, quality, and profitability standards. The role contributes to developing restaurant concepts, ensuring consistent culinary excellence, and upholding food safety and sanitation protocols across all food preparation areas.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
- Perform all activities within the Restaurant Kitchen area, ensuring a safe, smooth-running, and profitable operation within the framework of the Hotel.
- Take responsibility for the asset management of all outlet property and facilities.
- Maintain outlet safety at all times.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain food safety and protection by ensuring all food in working areas complies with proper food handling techniques, including dating, storage, and rotation.
- Maintain basic food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.
- Assist in maintaining clean and sanitized food preparation areas.
Standards & Quality
- Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests.
- Continually recommend improvements and additions to the Anantara presentation guidelines.
- Support the development of Restaurant concepts and standards.
Market & Menu Development
- Maintain knowledge of the local market and suppliers.
- Recommend menu changes according to seasonal product availability.
Departmental Oversight & Training
- Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
- Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
- Provide team members with the necessary training and resources to take care of our guests.
Team & Stakeholder Relations
- Promote positive interdepartmental relations through open communication and cooperation.
