Dean of the School of Business at American International University Kuwait.
Role Purpose
Lead the School of Business in advancing academic excellence, supporting faculty and student development, and ensuring the school meets its strategic objectives and institutional commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Provide overall academic leadership and direction for the School of Business.
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure academic quality and relevance.
- Support faculty recruitment, development, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.
Strategic Planning & Governance
- Develop and implement the school's strategic plan aligned with university goals.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the School of Business to university leadership and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for school-level academic and operational matters.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage the school's budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Identify funding opportunities and support resource development initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure fiscal responsibility.
Student Success
- Champion student learning outcomes and academic achievement.
- Support student recruitment, retention, and graduation initiatives.
- Foster engagement between students and industry partners.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Collaborate with other schools and departments across the university.
- Engage with alumni, employers, and professional organizations.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Lead accreditation efforts and maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct regular program reviews and assessment activities.
- Implement improvements based on assessment findings.
