Role Overview

Data Protection & Cyber Recovery Resident Engineer with DeepSource Technologies, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role provides hands-on support for Dell Technologies data protection and cyber recovery solutions in a banking-sector environment.

Role Purpose

Deploy, configure, and maintain Dell data protection infrastructure while monitoring backup and recovery operations, resolving technical incidents, and ensuring business continuity for enterprise banking customers.

Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Configuration

• Deploy, configure, and administer Dell NetWorker backup and recovery solutions.
• Implement and maintain PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) for enterprise data protection and backup operations.
• Implement and support PowerProtect Cyber Recovery solutions.

Operations & Monitoring

• Monitor backup jobs and investigate failures to ensure successful backup and recovery operations.
• Support data protection infrastructure and resolve technical incidents in line with customer requirements.
• Perform data recovery, restore testing, and troubleshooting to support business continuity.

Governance & Compliance

• Follow banking-sector security policies, access controls, and operational procedures.

Stakeholder Management & Documentation

• Coordinate with the customer's IT, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide regular service reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Dell NetWorker, PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM), and PowerProtect Cyber Recovery solutions.
• Practical experience in enterprise backup, data protection, restoration, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers in production environments.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise storage, virtualization, and disaster recovery environments.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity controls and secure backup architectures.

Additional Information

• On-site work required at the customer's premises in Saudi Arabia.
• Dell Technologies certifications related to data protection and cyber recovery are preferred.
