Role Overview
Data Governance Specialist at BlackStone eIT. This role is critical in ensuring that the organization's data assets are well-managed, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
Role Purpose
Lead initiatives to implement data governance policies, promote data quality, and collaborate with various departments to maintain data integrity across systems.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Framework Development
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
- Assist in the integration of data governance standards into daily operations.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
- Support audits and assessments related to data governance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roles, responsibilities, and data ownership.
- Facilitate training and communication to promote data governance awareness.
Data Quality & Operations
- Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts.
- Utilize data governance tools and technologies to manage metadata and data lineage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in data governance or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality processes.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience with data governance tools is a plus.
