Role Overview

WeRide AI is seeking a Data Annotation Team Leader to join our team. The position is based on-site.

Role Purpose

Lead and manage a data annotation team to ensure high-quality labeled datasets that support machine learning model development and deployment. Oversee daily operations, quality standards, and team performance to deliver accurate annotations on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and supervise a team of data annotation specialists.
• Manage team schedules, workload allocation, and performance metrics.
• Conduct training and onboarding for new team members on annotation protocols and tools.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and address performance issues promptly.

Quality Assurance

• Establish and maintain data annotation quality standards and guidelines.
• Monitor annotation accuracy and consistency across all projects.
• Conduct regular quality audits and provide feedback to team members.
• Implement corrective actions to improve annotation quality.

Project & Operations Management

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand annotation requirements and project timelines.
• Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage annotation tools, systems, and resources required by the team.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, standards, and team performance.

Reporting & Analysis

• Generate regular reports on team performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the annotation workflow.
• Provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data annotation, quality assurance, or related field.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
• Experience with machine learning datasets and annotation practices.
• Familiarity with data labeling tools and platforms.
