Data & Analytics, Consultant

Role Overview

Data & Analytics Consultant at Masterworks, based at Client Site. This role leads business intelligence and data engineering functions, overseeing the enterprise data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, and BI reporting ecosystem while acting as a strategic business partner across the organization.

Role Purpose

Lead the capture of business requirements, definition of key performance indicators (KPIs), and delivery of actionable decision-support tools across Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Strategy functions.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Translation

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
• Translate business requirements into data and analytics solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators.

Data Modeling & Engineering

• Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality activities.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Support the implementation of data governance, standards, and best practices.

Analytics & Reporting

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and business risks.
• Conduct data validation and ensure the accuracy and consistency of analytical outputs.
• Prepare presentations, analytical reports, and executive-level insights.

Business Partnership & Advisory

• Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Provide consulting and advisory services related to data and analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Process Optimization

• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve analytics processes.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, analytics methodologies, and AI-driven analytics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Consulting.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Extensive hands-on background with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Mastery of SQL Server or modern cloud data warehouses, relational database design, and query optimization.
• Demonstrated cross-functional domain knowledge across business operations, corporate finance, workforce analytics, and strategic execution.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with Power BI and data visualization.
• Expert-level competency in Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Service, Gateway management, Premium capacity, DAX).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with DAX and Power Query is preferred.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis is preferred.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Services, or cloud analytics platforms is preferred.
• Experience in AI/ML analytics or integrating AI capabilities into business solutions is preferred.

Additional Information

• Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Engineer, or related certifications are preferred.
