Cybersecurity Incident Response & Compliance Analyst

Role Overview

Cybersecurity Incident Response & Compliance Analyst at SOCOPAC, protecting the organization through continuous threat monitoring, security incident investigation, and compliance maintenance.

Role Purpose

Monitor and analyze security events, respond to incidents using forensic and investigative techniques, and improve security posture through vulnerability management, threat modeling, and effective use of security tools to meet SLAs and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Detection

• Monitor security events using SIEM/SOC platforms for fast threat detection.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning using tools such as Nessus.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessment to identify organizational vulnerabilities.

Incident Response & Forensics

• Respond to security incidents using forensic and investigative techniques.
• Investigate security incidents to reduce critical vulnerabilities.
• Communicate incident findings clearly to stakeholders.

Security Operations & Controls

• Strengthen security controls and maintain audit-ready compliance.
• Manage security tooling including WAF and EDR solutions.
• Apply network and web security fundamentals in daily operations.

Analysis & Problem-Solving

• Demonstrate analytical and investigative thinking in threat assessment.
• Solve problems under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proficiency in SIEM/SOC monitoring.
• Experience with incident response and forensics.
• Demonstrated vulnerability scanning capability using tools such as Nessus.
• Knowledge of threat modeling and risk assessment.
• Understanding of network and web security fundamentals.
• Experience with security tooling including WAF and EDR.
