Role Overview
Cyber Security Architect/Engineer II at Honeywell Technologies. This position provides onsite and offsite cyber security services associated with industrial Process Control Networks for Honeywell customers across Oil and Gas, Hydrocarbon Processing, Power Generation, Pulp, Paper & Printing, Continuous Web Solutions, Petrochemicals, Life Sciences, and Metals, Minerals and Mining markets.
Role Purpose
To deliver comprehensive cyber security consulting, design, implementation, and assessment services for industrial process control networks, serving as the primary technical interface to ensure customer solutions align with their business needs and industry security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting & Design
- Provide onsite and offsite consulting services for industrial process control networks.
- Design network architectures aligned with customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop sound and trusted relationships with internal and external customers by providing accurate and efficient technical and engineering support.
Implementation & Deployment
- Execute implementation of security solutions across customer environments.
- Perform network design and deployment activities as identified by customer needs.
Assessment & Troubleshooting
- Conduct cyber security risk analyses.
- Perform audits and assessments of customer security postures.
- Respond to customer inquiries, questions, and issues by diagnosing problems.
- Provide the most appropriate technical solution in an accurate and timely manner.
Technical Leadership & Knowledge Management
- Act as primary customer interface to ensure proposed solutions meet their business needs.
- Maintain technical competency with the Honeywell Process Solutions security and networking product and systems portfolio.
- Maintain expert knowledge on specific designated security and network disciplines.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry security standards such as NIST, NCA, IEC-62443, and ISO27001.
- Maintain cyber security certifications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field such as Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial automation network systems.
- 5+ years industrial networking.
- 5+ years leading security projects.
- 5+ years performing audits and assessments.
- 5+ years' experience within industrial process control.
- Networking certification: CCNA.
- Strong virtualization experience with VCP certification.
- Familiarity with industrial site safety requirements.
Skills & Competencies
- Cyber security risk analysis.
- Linux and Windows security basics.
- Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, DNS, WSUS, Terminal Server.
- LAN and WAN architectures.
- Purdue ICS model knowledge.
