Role Overview

Culture Change Agent at Samsung E&A. This is a project-based role supporting the implementation and facilitation of the company's S.A.Y (Safety Around You) Culture program across plant and engineering projects globally.

With 50 years of pioneering experience in the Korean plant industry, the company has successfully delivered numerous projects worldwide and expanded into Oil and Gas processing, Refinery, Petrochemical, Energy Transition, Environmental, Industrial and BIO sectors. Services span feasibility studies, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and O&M.

Role Purpose

Act as catalyst and primary driver for Samsung E&A's S.A.Y Culture program on project sites. Stimulate, manage and coordinate culture effort across all levels of the organization and subcontractors, embedding safety culture and behavioral change throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching and Advising

• Coach Samsung E&A and Subcontractor Site Inspectors, Supervisors, Foremen and Worker teams on culture program elements.
• Advise HSE Managers from SECL, Client and Subcontractor organizations.
• Focus on those leading from the front regarding implementation of key culture activities.

Training and Field Coaching

• Deliver culture training for TBM Leaders covering Construction Supervisors, Foremen and HSE Supervisors/Officers.
• Conduct worker field training.
• Support Project HSE Trainer development.

Program Management and Facilitation

• Deploy all components of the Culture program on the Project.
• Collect assurance components required for HQ to establish all Culture levels.
• Facilitate Learning Teams meetings.
• Support facilitation of S.A.Y Leadership Team meetings.
• Conduct TBM, TAKE-5 and Culture Whiteboard effectiveness assessments.
• Assist Subcontractors with implementation of culture improvement recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in a relevant subject such as HSE, Engineering, Project Management, or Psychology.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in HSE as Senior Trainer or Supervisor.

• Computer proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Credibility and acceptance as knowledgeable in safety function for construction projects.
