Credit Analyst

Role Overview

Credit Analyst position at ADIB, located in Al Ain, UAE. This position is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Provide full support to branches and Direct Sales Units by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely fashion and within approved policies.

Key Responsibilities

Application Review & Processing

• Examine credit applications for completeness and timeliness of information, noting exceptions for correction.
• Prepare error-free credit documentation.
• Apply de-duplication vigilantly.
• Observe agreed turnaround time.
• Check customer status through de-duplication and Central Bank of the UAE registry.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze bank statements to assess genuineness, continuity, business turnovers, cheque returns, average balances, and potential artificial fabrication.
• Analyze applicant financial statements and comment on findings where required.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with policies and satisfactory Risk Rating.
• Comply with and perform key operational controls as required in ADIB's policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
• Proactively recommend system changes and enhancements to ensure all procedures and policies are implemented and followed in compliance with the organization.

Performance & Quality

• Meet minimum daily targets assigned by management while maintaining the lowest level of errors as measured by scorecard.
• Support business in achieving monthly budget and targets while maintaining highest quality portfolio.
• Contribute positively to daily underwriting activities.

Decision Support & Escalation

• Escalate cases requiring higher decision-making authority with full analysis and recommendations to facilitate decision-making.

Knowledge & Communication

• Demonstrate full and up-to-date knowledge of ADIB's products, policies, and procedures.
• Improve communication with branches and Direct Sales Units as internal customers.
• Provide constructive comments and feedback on proposed finance applications.

General

• Demonstrate full team spirit and positive attitude.
• Perform any other responsibilities entrusted by ADIB Management from time to time and any other task assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of practical banking experience, preferably in the finance and credit field.
• Detailed knowledge of ADIB's Retail Banking credit products and services.
• Broad knowledge of ADIB's Retail Credit and Operational Policies and Procedures.
• Good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
