Credit Analyst

Role Overview

Credit Analyst at ADIB, Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Provide full support to branches and Dedicated Service Units (DSUs) by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely fashion and within approved policies.

Key Responsibilities

Application Review & Processing

• Examine credit applications for completeness and timeliness of information, noting exceptions for correction.
• Prepare error-free credit documents.
• Apply de-dupes vigilantly.
• Observe agreed turnaround time (TAT).
• Escalate cases requiring higher decision-making authority with full analysis and recommendations to facilitate their decision-making.

Credit Analysis & Assessment

• Analyze bank statements to assess genuineness, continuity, business turnovers, cheque returns, average balances, and detect any chance of artificial fabrication.
• Analyze applicant financial statements and comment on findings where required.
• Check customer status through de-dupes and Central Bank of the UAE Risk Rating Bureau (CBRB).
• Provide constructive comments and feedback on proposed finance applications.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with policies and satisfactory Risk Rating.
• Comply with and perform Key operational controls as required in ADIB's policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
• Ensure all procedures and policies are implemented and followed in compliance with the organization.

Performance & Targets

• Meet minimum daily targets assigned by management while maintaining the lowest level of errors as measured by the scorecard.
• Support business in achieving monthly budget and targets while maintaining highest quality portfolio.
• Contribute positively to daily underwriting activities.

Knowledge & Continuous Improvement

• Demonstrate full and up-to-date knowledge of ADIB's products, policies and procedures.
• Proactively and continually make and recommend system changes and enhancements.
• Improve communication with branches and DSUs as internal customers.
• Demonstrate full team spirit and positive attitude.

Additional Duties

• Perform any other responsibilities entrusted by ADIB Management from time to time.
• Support business in capturing customers within acceptable parameters without violating Central Bank regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of practical banking experience preferably in the finance and credit field.
• Detailed knowledge of ADIB's Retail Banking credit products and services.
• Broad knowledge of ADIB's Retail Credit and Operational Policies and Procedures.
• Good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations and risks.
