Country Manager: Wellsite Services

Role Overview

NOV seeks a Country Manager: Wellsite Services to lead its Solids Control, Waste Management, and Managed Pressure Drilling businesses in Saudi Arabia. The role holds overall accountability for HSE, P&L performance, operational delivery, team leadership, sales growth, and client relationships across these service lines.

Role Purpose

Provide strategic direction and leadership of three integrated service businesses in Saudi Arabia. Drive sustainable and profitable growth while maintaining NOV's standards for safety, quality, integrity, and operational excellence. Develop the local organization and strengthen client partnerships to position NOV Wellsite Services as a trusted long-term partner in the Saudi market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Development

• Develop and execute the country strategy in line with NOV objectives and senior management direction.
• Develop and execute sales and business-development plans for each service line.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies, products, and services into the Saudi market.
• Grow the business by expanding existing services, introducing new product lines, and pursuing new market opportunities.
• Grow each service line by strengthening existing operations, introducing new solutions, and developing new client opportunities.
• Lead major tenders, contract negotiations, pricing reviews, and commercial proposals.

Financial Management & Performance

• Maintain full accountability for country P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and cost control.
• Deliver profitable and sustainable business performance through effective P&L and working-capital management.
• Manage working capital, including receivables, inventory, asset utilization, and unbilled revenue.
• Monitor business and operational performance and implement corrective actions when required.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Establish and maintain the highest standards of HSE performance across all Saudi Arabia operations.
• Ensure the highest HSE standards across field operations, workshops, facilities, and transportation activities.
• Maintain equipment readiness, service quality, and adequate operational resources.
• Strong understanding of HSE leadership, service quality, and risk management within oilfield operations.

Operations & Service Delivery

• Lead the Solids Control, Waste Management, and Managed Pressure Drilling businesses in Saudi Arabia.
• Ensure consistent service quality, operational reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service delivery in accordance with contractual and client requirements.
• Deliver profitable and sustainable performance across the Solids Control, Waste Management, and MPD businesses.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, develop, and motivate the country team by setting clear objectives and performance expectations.
• Develop a capable, accountable, and motivated team with a strong pipeline of local talent.
• Build local capabilities, develop Saudi talent, and maintain effective succession plans.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary operational, technical, and commercial teams.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Strengthen relationships with key clients and position NOV Wellsite Services as a trusted long-term partner.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and address operational or commercial concerns promptly.
• Established ability to build productive relationships with clients, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with NOV policies, internal controls, client standards, and applicable Saudi regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in oilfield services, including at least five years in a senior leadership role with P&L responsibility.
• Fifteen or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Relevant operational or commercial experience in Solids Control, Waste Management, Managed Pressure Drilling, or related drilling services.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasts, working capital, and business performance.
• Experience developing sales strategies, leading tenders, negotiating contracts, and growing service businesses.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Arabian oil and gas market and its major clients.

Skills & Competencies

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary operational, technical, and commercial teams.
• Strong understanding of HSE leadership, service quality, and risk management within oilfield operations.
• Strong strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
• Arabic language capability is an advantage.
• Established ability to build productive relationships with clients, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Additional Information

• Willingness to travel regularly to client offices, workshops, and field locations across Saudi Arabia.
