Cost Manager (MEP) - Data Centre at Turner & Townsend, based on a major Data Centre project in Qatar.

Role Purpose
Support the delivery of a major Data Centre project by managing pre- and post-contract cost responsibilities for MEP packages, ensuring commercial viability, cost control, and successful contract administration throughout all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimating and Planning
- Prepare and manage detailed MEP cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans throughout all project stages.
- Own pre- and post-contract cost management duties for MEP packages.
Design and Budget Collaboration
- Review and collaborate with design teams to ensure MEP designs are commercially viable and aligned with project budget objectives.
Procurement and Tendering
- Manage the procurement process for MEP works, including preparation of tender documentation, tender analysis, bid evaluation, and contract recommendations.
Commercial and Financial Management
- Provide robust cost control, financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial advice throughout the delivery of the Data Centre project.
- Assess and manage variations, claims, and change requests, ensuring accurate valuation and cost impact assessment.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- 5-15 years' post-graduate experience.
- Experience managing MEP costs on large-scale building, mission-critical, or Data Centre projects.
- Professional membership is an advantage, e.g. MRICS.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced MS Excel user.
- Experienced user of MS Office.
