Role Overview
Nova International General Contracting seeks a Cost Control Engineer to manage budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting for high-value construction projects in the UAE.

Role Purpose
This role provides clear financial visibility, ensures cost discipline, and supports decision-making across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with Planning, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, and site teams to safeguard project profitability and control cost risks.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Cost Planning
- Develop project budgets and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
- Track commitments, expenditures, and remaining costs.
Cost Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor costs against budgets and highlight variances or risks.
- Align cost data with project progress and earned value metrics.
- Validate quantities, productivity, and subcontractor payment applications.
Forecasting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Prepare Cost-to-Complete (CTC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
Invoice & Compliance Review
- Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Commercial Assessment
- Assess commercial impacts of variations and design changes.
Records & Audit Support
- Maintain accurate, auditable cost records and support internal and client audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8–10 years of cost control experience in contracting or real estate development (UAE preferred).
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, construction cost structures, and commercial processes.
- Experience in budgeting, cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with planning coordination and progress measurement systems.

Additional Information
Preferred Certifications
- CCP®, CAE®, EVM, PMP®, or ERP system training (Oracle, SAP, BuildSmart, MS Dynamics).
