Role Overview
Control Room Operator – Autonomous Vehicles at Burjline Builders. This role monitors the operational status of autonomous vehicles and coordinates appropriate response to incidents, accidents and other operational emergencies.
Role Purpose
Monitor real-time autonomous vehicle operations, identify and respond to incidents and emergencies, and coordinate rapid dispatch and on-site response activities with ground support teams while maintaining clear communication and accurate records throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Situational Awareness
- Monitor the real-time operational status of autonomous vehicles.
- Identify and respond to traffic accidents, emergencies and operational incidents.
- Monitor incident progress through to appropriate resolution or escalation.
Incident Response & Coordination
- Rapidly dispatch emergency work orders to relevant ground support teams.
- Coordinate on-site response activities with operational teams.
- Maintain clear communication with ground teams during incidents.
- Execute map interruption processes in accordance with operational guidelines.
Procedure & Documentation
- Escalate incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow established emergency response and operational procedures at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions and responses.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a control room, command centre, emergency response centre, fleet monitoring environment or similar operation is preferred.
- Experience within transportation, automotive, logistics or mobility operations would be advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making ability.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during incidents or emergencies.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to work with monitoring systems.
- Ability to follow escalation procedures accurately.
