Role Purpose
As a Content Creation Trainee with The Deal, you will bring fresh, culturally relevant perspectives to content and social media presence while gaining hands-on exposure to the full content creation journey in a fast-moving retail business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Ideation
- Bring fresh and culturally relevant ideas for TikTok, Instagram, and social media content.
- Stay curious about emerging trends, pop culture, digital conversations, and what is capturing the attention of different audiences.
- Research content trends across different markets and identify ideas that could be relevant to The Deal.
- Bring your own ideas to the table while learning how to turn creative thinking into content that can actually be delivered.
Content Creation & Production
- Support the content creation process from initial concept through to execution.
- Assist with short-form video editing and the preparation of social content.
- Create simple posters, posts, and creative assets using Canva and similar tools.
- Support on-site content shoots, including product preparation, set coordination, and working with the people involved in bringing content to life.
Organization & Coordination
- Maintain content calendars, marketing trackers, and upcoming deliverables.
- Support basic reporting and data tracking using Excel.
- Coordinate with different stakeholders and follow up on actions to ensure content is delivered on time.
Activations & In-Store Support
- Support activations and outlet-based content opportunities when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- UAE National with a Family Book.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital Marketing, Creative Industries, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Natural interest in TikTok, Instagram, social media, pop culture, and emerging digital trends.
- Creative mindset with the confidence to suggest new ideas.
- Familiarity with CapCut or similar video-editing tools.
- Familiarity with Canva for creating social posts, posters, and simple visual assets.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills for trackers, calendars, and reporting.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive mindset.
- Confidence collaborating and coordinating with different people.
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to support content shoots, activations, and in-store execution.
- Gen Z cultural awareness and fresh thinking combined with the discipline to execute.
