Role Overview
Consultant Pediatric ENT with Astra ProMed in Dubai. Full-time position providing comprehensive otolaryngology care to infants, children, and adolescents.
Role Purpose
Deliver expert diagnosis and management of pediatric ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions across the full age range from infants through adolescents, performing consultations, procedures, and surgeries within scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Diagnosis & Assessment
- Diagnose and manage pediatric ENT conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical examinations for pediatric patients.
- Manage common and complex conditions, including recurrent ear infections, hearing disorders, tonsillar and adenoid disease, nasal obstruction, and congenital ENT conditions.
- Evaluate and manage pediatric airway, sleep-disordered breathing, and swallowing-related conditions.
- Assess and manage pediatric hearing and speech-related ENT concerns in collaboration with audiology and speech therapy teams.
Surgical Care & Procedures
- Perform appropriate pediatric ENT procedures and surgeries within the scope of practice.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for pediatric ENT patients.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, audiologists, speech therapists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
- Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.
Governance & Quality
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Otolaryngology / ENT, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirements.
- Additional fellowship or advanced training in Pediatric Otolaryngology is highly desirable.
- Eligible for or holding a valid DHA Consultant license/eligibility in the relevant specialty.
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric ENT diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures.
