Role Overview

Consultant of Developmental Pediatrics at Taiba Hospital. Reports to Head of Pediatrics. Job Code: PEDS-002, Grade C.

Role Purpose

Drive demonstrable improvement in children's developmental and functional outcomes by delivering accurate, timely assessments and interventions, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and leading innovative programs that advance developmental pediatrics practice.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Intervention

• Lead developmental assessments to identify delays, disorders, and special needs in children.
• Provide specialist consultations that guide families and clinical teams in creating individualized care plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions by coordinating medical, behavioral, and educational strategies.
• Manage complex cases and act decisively in managing challenging developmental or behavioral conditions.

Collaboration & Care Coordination

• Foster collaboration among pediatricians, therapists, and educators to develop holistic care plans.
• Unite multidisciplinary teams around unified developmental strategies.

Quality & Standards

• Advance practice by contributing to quality initiatives and protocol development.
• Uphold standards by ensuring compliance with Taiba protocols, MOH regulations, and ethical best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• 9 or more years post-specialty experience in pediatrics with expertise in developmental and behavioral care.
• Medical degree with pediatric specialty training (PhD, Doctorate, Membership, Fellowship, or Board Certification from USA, Canada, UK, Germany, GCC, or equivalent).
• Advanced certification or fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics or related subspecialty.
• Proven ability to manage complex neurodevelopmental conditions.
