Role Overview

Consultant Critical Care position at Astra ProMed in Dubai. Full-time role providing specialist and consultant-level care to critically ill patients within a leading hospital.

Role Purpose

Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill patients, lead multidisciplinary intensive care services, and contribute to clinical governance and patient safety across the intensive care unit.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Patient Management

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill patients.
• Manage patients requiring intensive monitoring, organ support and advanced critical care.
• Respond to acute deterioration and medical emergencies.
• Perform and supervise critical care procedures within the physician's scope of practice.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions and treatment planning.
• Collaborate closely with anaesthesia, emergency medicine, surgery and other specialist teams.

Supervision & Development

• Supervise and support junior doctors and clinical staff.
• Contribute to teaching, training and professional development activities.

Governance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and patient-safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Western-trained Consultant in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine.
• Recognised specialist/consultant qualification from an approved Western jurisdiction.
• Strong post-qualification clinical experience in critical care.
• Experience managing complex adult critically ill patients.
• Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.
• Eligibility for DHA licensing in Dubai, subject to DHA assessment and approval.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Additional Information

• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Maximum package: AED 45,000 per month, inclusive of housing and travel allowance.
• 1 month hotel accommodation upon arrival in Dubai.
• Flight, visa and employment sponsorship covered by the hospital.
• Internal support with DHA licensing.
• Health insurance for the employee, spouse and up to 3 children.
• Annual return flight for the employee, spouse and up to 2 children.
• 30 days of annual leave per year of service.
