Role Overview
Consultant - Anaesthesia at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA).
Role Purpose
Provide safe and effective anaesthesia care across a wide range of surgical and medical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care Delivery
- Administer anaesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Assess patients' medical history and develop individualized anaesthesia care plans.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anaesthesia administration.
- Manage pain control and post-operative care.
Emergency & Critical Care
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care support.
Collaboration & Professional Practice
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and international standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous education.
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Completion of a recognized residency in Anaesthesiology.
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Anaesthesia.
- Valid medical license to practice.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a tertiary care hospital.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Experience in critical care and pain management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
