Construction Superintendent – Piping ( Fabrication Yard)

Role Overview

Construction Superintendent – Piping for KBR in Abu Dhabi. The role is initially office-based, transitioning to the Fabrication Yard office, and may move to an Offshore Site on a 6 weeks / 3 weeks rotation, as per client requirement.

Role Purpose

Plan, supervise, and control all piping construction activities within the fabrication yard. Ensure fabrication, assembly, testing, and readiness for transport of piping systems are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Execution

• Supervise all piping fabrication activities including cutting, fit-up, welding, NDT, heat treatment, pressure testing, painting, and preservation.
• Ensure construction activities align with IFC drawings, project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate daily work plans and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently.
• Monitor productivity and resolve field issues impacting schedule or quality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15+ years of overall experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience working in EPC Offshore / Modular Fabrication Projects.
• 10–15 years of experience in piping construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory / superintendent role within fabrication yard environments.
• Minimum 5+ years of previous experience working in Offshore Projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position for mega oil and gas EPC projects (more than US$1 Billion).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
