Role Overview

Construction Section Head - Civil with Archirodon Group N.V, an international EPC contractor. The role is based within the Oil, Gas and Chemicals Division.

Role Purpose

Lead and manage all Civil construction activities on complex EPC projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and standards while coordinating across multiple disciplines to deliver projects safely, on time, and to quality.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Operations & Execution

• Lead and manage all Civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved construction plans, and project schedules.
• Ensure day-to-day operations are executed in accordance with the approved construction plan and schedule.
• Identify construction issues and implement appropriate solutions to maintain project progress.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved schedule and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, applicable international codes, and HSE regulations.
• Ensure effective implementation of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and maintain strict safety compliance in live plant environments.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures, and execution plans prior to construction activities.
• Ensure all Civil works are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and inspection requirements prior to handover.

Resource & Schedule Management

• Ensure the timely availability of manpower, materials, equipment, and other required resources.
• Prepare and review manpower plans, resource allocation, productivity reports, and construction progress updates to optimize project delivery.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, Commissioning, and other project disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise and manage subcontractors to ensure quality, productivity, safety, and schedule targets are achieved.
• Participate in construction meetings and provide technical solutions to site execution challenges in coordination with the Engineering team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Construction Section Head role.
• Proven experience working on ADNOC or major GCC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong experience managing Civil construction activities, large site teams, and subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, site execution strategies, and productivity management.
• Thorough understanding of ADNOC standards, project specifications, applicable international codes, HSE regulations, risk assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• ADNOC approval or prior ADNOC leadership experience is an added advantage.
