Role Purpose

Lead construction execution on a complex EPC project in Abu Dhabi, managing multi-faceted construction activities, teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant, on-time and on-budget project delivery while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships and comprehensive project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead an established team of Section Heads and Engineers to secure the completion of the project within time and budget.
• Build and manage effective construction teams.
• Manage direct multi-faceted construction activities, including subcontractors and personnel.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all construction activities are performed safely and in compliance with applicable policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

Quality & Specifications

• Ensure all construction activities are performed in accordance with project specifications and drawings, within budget and time schedules.
• Participate in constructability and 3D model review sessions.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and take responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction for construction and completions activities.
• Provide construction support to project management during the initial planning phase of the project.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain effective communication and report the status of construction progress to the project team.
• Maintain excellent project records and documentation of delays and other potential project impacts.
• Maintain detailed, accurate and complete documentation of construction activities.

Change Management

• Manage the RFI and change order process in the field.
• Assist with the preparation of change orders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) in any relevant Engineering Discipline, ideally Civil or Mechanical.
• Minimum 20 years total experience.
• Minimum 7 years specific experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of construction management systems, processes and tools.
• Engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning awareness.
• Experience in EPC projects with ADNOC or any equivalent is highly preferable.
• Previous employment with leading EPC contractors is highly preferable.
