Role Overview
Compliance Operations Director at Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and digital financial platform. This is a global role based within Bybit's compliance operations function.

Role Purpose
Build and lead the Global Compliance Operations function, establishing the operational infrastructure that supports Bybit's regulatory licences across multiple jurisdictions. Translate regulatory commitments into practical operating procedures, governance frameworks, and sustainable business processes, ensuring every licensed entity launches with appropriate operational controls and continues to meet ongoing regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Implementation & Licensing
- Lead the operational implementation of regulatory licences across all licensed entities, ensuring operational readiness and regulatory commitments are fully embedded into business operations prior to go-live.
- Identify operational gaps between regulatory requirements, internal policies and business practices, and drive remediation.
- Maintain oversight of regulatory obligations by implementing governance, tracking and escalation mechanisms across licensed entities.
Operational Frameworks & Documentation
- Develop and maintain compliance operational frameworks, including SOPs, governance processes, control frameworks and monitoring mechanisms.
- Standardise compliance operational documentation, templates and implementation methodologies across jurisdictions.
- Design SOPs, operational procedures and governance documentation that enable scalable and consistent business operations.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Partner with Licensing, Legal, Product, Technology, Operations and regional teams throughout the licensing lifecycle.
- Work closely with regional business teams to ensure regulatory commitments are translated into practical operations.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide senior management with regular reporting on implementation progress, operational risks and regulatory commitments.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Compliance Operations team while driving continuous improvement across the function.
- Coach and develop high-performing teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years' experience in Compliance Operations, Regulatory Operations or a related function within financial services, fintech or digital assets.
- Demonstrated experience implementing regulatory or licensing requirements into operational business processes.
- Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and working with global stakeholders.
- Proven experience building or improving operational frameworks within a regulated environment.
- Previous people management experience.
