Role Overview
Compliance - Market Surveillance Analyst at Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA), a U.S. derivatives exchange registered with and regulated by the CFTC as a contract market and clearing organization.
Company Overview
Crypto.com's Local Programs and Regulatory Compliance team ensures compliance with local laws and regulations across all operating jurisdictions. CDNA is a U.S. derivatives exchange currently offering fully-collateralized event contracts with plans to offer traditional futures products in the near future. The Market Regulation Department enforces Exchange rules through market advisories, investigations, trade surveillance, and disciplinary actions.
Role Purpose
Detect and investigate trading activity in derivatives markets across multiple asset classes to identify potential violations of Exchange rules and CFTC Regulations. Provide guidance to market participants based on their dynamic needs while maintaining professional, proactive, and analytical approaches to compliance oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Market Surveillance & Investigation
- Detect trading activity that may violate Exchange rules and CFTC Regulations.
- Investigate potential violations across multiple asset classes traded on CDNA markets.
- Support enforcement of the Exchange's rules through trade surveillance activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide guidance to market participants based on their dynamic needs.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders.
Process Improvement
- Create efficient and innovative approaches to gathering and analyzing data.
- Collaborate with others to develop market surveillance methodologies.
