Role Purpose
The Communications Manager, Surgery EMEA will be a key member of the Surgery Business Unit Communications & Public Affairs team, executing an integrated communications strategy across the EMEA region. The role will support innovation milestones, strengthen reputation, and engage key stakeholders across priority markets using external, media, internal, and digital communications channels.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Execute EMEA communications strategy for the Surgery Business Unit aligned to growth priorities and key milestones.
- Serve as a communications partner on key business communication initiatives, translating business priorities into clear, compelling campaigns.
- Develop and execute integrated communications across media, executive, internal, and digital channels in partnership with the Surgery EMEA Communications & Public Affairs team.
Channel Management
- Own channel management including HOME, distribution lists, and newsletter development connected to Communications initiatives.
- Work closely with local external agency and freelance relationships to maximize campaign impact and delivery.
Stakeholder Alignment & Partnership
- Partner across the region and functions including Legal, Regulatory, Government Affairs, and global Media Relations to align communications activity and approvals.
- Build strong relationships with leaders, Marketing, and content sources for Communications campaigns.
- Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, partnering across business, functional, and regional teams.
Performance & Learning
- Use data and insights to continuously improve effectiveness and fully leverage global reports to accelerate execution and learning.

- Contribute to a strong, inclusive team culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, or public affairs.
- Demonstrated experience supporting commercial businesses, preferably in healthcare, medtech, or regulated industries.
- Deep knowledge of EMEA region and specific nuances.
