Role Overview
Commis at IKEA Cairo Festival City, operated by Al Futtaim, located in Cairo Festival City.
Role Purpose
Support the culinary team in daily food production while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and guest satisfaction. This position is integral to delivering an exceptional dining experience that complements the IKEA shopping journey.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Assist chefs in food preparation, cooking, and plating while adhering to established recipes and portion standards
Food Safety & Compliance
- Coordinate and implement food safety protocols and documentation across the food service area
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in compliance with regulatory requirements
Guest Experience
- Engage with guests to gather feedback and ensure a memorable dining experience that reflects IKEA values
Team Collaboration & Development
- Participate in training sessions and collaboratively work with the Chef and kitchen team to optimize daily operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen or food service environment in a supporting role
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to providing outstanding guest service
