Role Purpose
The Commis III supports kitchen operations by maintaining equipment and facilities, adhering to food safety standards and culinary guidelines, and contributing to consistent quality service delivery across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
- Maintain complete understanding of and adherence to company policy relating to fire, hygiene, and safety.
- Maintain food safety and protection, including dating, proper storage, rotation, and compliance with food handling techniques.
- Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ensure all food in working areas complies with food handling techniques and proper storage protocols.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Ensure operating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimum breakage.
- Take responsibility for asset management of all outlet property and facilities.
Kitchen Standards & Operations
- Follow hotel culinary standards that are set in place.
- Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to guests.
- Continually recommend improvements and additions to Anantara presentation guidelines.
Training & Development
- Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
- Provide associates with training and resources to take care of guests.
Departmental Operations
- Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
- Promote positive inter-departmental relations through candid communication and cooperation.
