Role Overview
Commis II (Italian Cuisine Experienced) at RISE Enterprise. This role involves preparing food and cooking simple dishes under the guidance of senior chefs in a kitchen environment focused on Italian cuisine.
Role Purpose
Prepare and cook simple dishes following standard recipes and chef's instructions while handling a specific kitchen section under supervision. The role includes supporting junior kitchen staff development and maintaining food safety and consistency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook simple dishes following standard recipes and chef's instructions.
- Handle a specific kitchen section (for example cold kitchen, grill, sauces) under supervision.
- Maintain portion control, presentation, and consistency of dishes.
Quality & Safety Management
- Check ingredient quality and freshness before use and report any issues.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards set by the company and local health authorities.
- Keep the assigned work station, tools, and equipment clean and well organized.
Team Support & Training
- Guide and support Commis III and Kitchen Helpers with basic prep tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Culinary certificate or diploma (advantage); equivalent practical training also accepted.
- At least 1 to 2 years of kitchen experience, ideally in a similar cuisine or setting.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of cooking methods, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work well in a team.
