Role Purpose
To support pastry operations by assisting in food preparation and service, maintaining hygienic working standards, ensuring food safety compliance, and contributing to consistent, high-quality culinary offerings across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and Service
- Assist in the preparation and service of food.
- Prepare mise en place for the outlets as required.
- Assist with events, banquets, and other functions as required.
Quality and Presentation
- Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to guests.
- Continually look for opportunities to recommend improvements and additions to the Anantara presentation guidelines.
Food Safety and Hygiene
- Maintain food safety and protection standards.
- Ensure all food in working areas complies with proper food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, and rotation.
- Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain a hygienic working environment.
- Adhere to all personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Operational Management
- Take responsibility for looking after all hotel property, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
Development and Compliance
- Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and overall hotel service levels.
- Adhere to fire safety rules and health and safety regulations.
