Commis I position at Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel, part of the Colbert Collection under Minor International, located in Dubai.

Role Purpose
Support the Chef de Partie in all kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation, basic cooking, plating, and maintenance of kitchen standards and inventory to ensure smooth service delivery in a luxury hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
- Assist and take instructions from the Chef de Partie
- Gather and accurately measure all meal ingredients
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits
- Cut and season different meats
- Prepare basic dishes such as salads and sauces
- Plate various meal items
Kitchen Operations & Inventory
- Keep track of inventory supplies
- Ensure that food items are stocked properly in refrigerators and freezers
- Dispose of spoiled food items and expired products
Standards & Hygiene
- Maintain proper hygiene standards
- Ensure that the workstation remains clean at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven work experience as a Commis
- Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required
- Pre-opening experience is an advantage
