Role Overview
Commis 3 (Pastry) at Palazzo Versace Dubai. This is an entry-level pastry kitchen position supporting the pastry team in daily production and service.
Role Purpose
Support the Pastry team in the preparation, production, finishing, and service of pastry products, desserts, cakes, and breads while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organization.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation & Production
- Support the pastry team with daily preparation and basic production tasks.
- Assist with mise en place, including weighing, measuring, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
- Support the preparation of basic pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other pastry products under supervision.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the Chef de Partie and senior pastry team.
Finishing & Presentation
- Assist with the finishing, decoration, and presentation of pastry products.
Workstation & Equipment Management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry workstation, equipment, and utensils.
- Handle ingredients and equipment carefully and responsibly.
Food Safety & Storage
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
Service Support
- Assist the team during breakfast, buffet, banquet, and special event production when required.
- Support the team in minimizing food wastage.
