Role Purpose
Produce creative and excellent dishes as part of the kitchen team while maintaining high standards of health and safety, exceeding guest expectations, and supporting the seamless operation of the kitchen through effective communication, multi-tasking and collaborative execution of food preparation and organization.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Maintain high standards of health and safety practices.
- Uphold personal hygiene standards.
Food Production & Preparation
- Produce creative and excellent dishes.
- Perform basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food.
- Execute orders effectively and simultaneously carry out many different orders in brief timeframes.
Kitchen Teamwork & Communication
- Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team.
- Receive constructive criticism gracefully.
- Carry out orders as directed.
- Support other kitchen team members in creating excellence in their areas of responsibility.
Guest Service
- Ensure guest expectations are exceeded and fully satisfied.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school degree.
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage or Restaurant operations role.
- Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures.
Skills & Competencies
- Passion for teamwork.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to remain calm while multi-tasking.
- Effective communication with kitchen staff.
