Commis 1 (Commis Chef) at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel By Tivoli, operated by Minor Hotels. Location: Doha, Qatar.

Role Purpose
The Commis Chef produces creative and excellent dishes as part of the kitchen team, ensuring guest expectations are exceeded and fully satisfied while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Production
- Produce creative and excellent dishes to the highest standard.
- Execute basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food.
Kitchen Operations & Teamwork
- Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team.
- Receive and act upon constructive criticism gracefully.
- Carry out kitchen orders effectively and promptly.
- Remain calm while multi-tasking and executing multiple different orders simultaneously within brief timeframes.
- Support colleagues to create excellence across the kitchen.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain high standards of health and safety as required of all kitchen team members.
- Maintain personal hygiene at all times.
- Apply basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School degree.
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage or Restaurant operations role.
- Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures.
Skills & Competencies
- Passion for teamwork.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure.
- Effective communication.
