Role Purpose

Develop and implement data-driven solutions that support trading strategies through predictive modeling, data infrastructure, and real-time analytics. Bridge data science capabilities with commercial trading operations by building scalable pipelines, validating forecasting models, and integrating artificial intelligence into decision-making workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Data Preparation & Engineering

• Collect, clean, and structure large datasets from market, fundamental, and operational sources
• Build and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and automated tooling to streamline workflows
• Maintain clear records of methodologies, data definitions, and model specifications

Forecasting & Modeling

• Develop and validate predictive models such as wind generation and demand forecasting to support trading strategies
• Prototype, back-test, and refine data-driven trading ideas
• Collaborate with analytics and development teams to productionize solutions

AI & Automation

• Utilize Large Language Models and agentic frameworks to accelerate exploratory data analysis, automate data cleaning pipelines, and generate synthetic data for model robustification
• Build custom Agents or automated workflows that interpret unstructured data or reason through multi-step problems
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI landscape including RAG, Agents, and Multimodal models
• Proactively propose new ways to apply emerging AI techniques to trading data

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with traders, risk managers, and software engineers to integrate insights into real-time decision-making
• Champion company values through proactive communication and teamwork

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQL
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Matplotlib and Seaborn
• Experience programmatically integrating Large Language Models via APIs, LangChain, or Python scripts into data pipelines rather than just using chat interfaces
• Proven ability to build custom Agents or automated workflows that interpret unstructured data or reason through multi-step problems
• Pro-active and flexible work mentality
• Interest in data-driven trading
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Skills & Competencies

• Proven track record of excellence in quantitative or analytical roles, whether academic or professional (preferred)
• Experience working with time-series data, machine learning libraries, or cloud-based data platforms (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive end-to-end solutions (preferred)

Additional Information

• Employment Type: Full-time and Permanent
• Location: Dubai, UAE
• Probation Period: 3 to 6 months as per UAE Labour Law
• Salary: USD 65,000 per annum plus performance-based bonus in 0% tax environment
