Role Overview
CNC Machinist at Baker Hughes. This position is with the Completions Team, which supports well construction and production operations.

Role Purpose
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision-machined parts that meet engineering specifications and support efficient production flow.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Setup
- Set up, operate, and maintain Mazak CNC machines for both turning and milling operations.
- Program CNC machines using Mazatrol or G-code, adjusting settings for optimal performance and accuracy.
Quality & Inspection
- Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to ensure efficient production flow.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
Planning & Preparation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience operating Mazak CNC machines for turning and milling.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Mazatrol programming and/or G-code.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with precision measuring tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
