Role Overview

Clinical Psychologist in the Longevity Clinic – Allied Health at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC).

Role Purpose

Provide care for patients presenting with psychological difficulties by delivering independent and high-quality psychological assessment and intervention plans in collaboration with other medical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and Intervention

• Deliver independent psychological assessments.
• Develop high-quality intervention plans.
• Conduct psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, paediatric and geriatric patients.
• Establish psychopathology diagnosis, assessment and intervention plans.

Collaboration

• Partner with other medical teams to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of five years' experience in the field of clinical psychology, dealing with cases of psychopathology in a clinical setting. Training can be counted toward the five years if a valid training certificate in a recognized institution was submitted.
• Minimum of two years' experience conducting psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, paediatric and/or geriatric patients.
• Minimum of a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology plus five years' experience in a clinical setting.
• Currently licensed as Clinical Psychologist by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong hold of psychopathology diagnosis, assessment and intervention plans.

Additional Information

• Desirable: PhD in Clinical Psychology or other related clinical specialty.
• Desirable: Further knowledge in, experience with and exposure to different clinical settings, cases, populations and intervention techniques.
