Role Purpose

The Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing custodial services as specified in the Performance Work Statement for Base and Recreational Service areas including Lodging facilities, Fitness Centers, Lounges, Community Activity Centers, Learning Resource Center, Media Center, Theaters, and Hospital Aseptic. The role reports to the Lead Cleaning Technician and functions as a Facility Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Custodial Services Execution

• Execute custodial services as specified in the Performance Work Statement.
• Perform restroom cleaning and supply replenishment, floors, baseboards, corners and wall/floor edges, light fixtures, interior glass/mirrors, sink and counter, laundry rooms, tables/desks, water potted plants, dusting, spot cleaning, outdoor patio cleaning, collect/remove trash, clean refrigerators/microwaves, sort linen, resupply clean linen, and restock linen closet as specified in the PWS.
• Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.

Facility Management

• Function as a Facility Manager to assigned location(s) as specified in the PWS.
• Provide on-call and over and above cleaning services as needed.
• Perform as supplemental personnel as needed for all Installation Service functional areas.

Standards & Operations

• Communicate and uphold company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing well-maintained equipment and facilities.
• Perform work in a manner that presents a clean, neat and professional appearance while maintaining satisfactory facility and equipment conditions.
• Monitor other country nationals in accordance with AFCENTI 32-1002 and obtain escort badge.
• Follow a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
• Maintain proper utilization and safeguard all government and contractor-provided property including government facilities, equipment and tools.
• Execute company time reporting procedures with precision and complete timesheets accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
• Valid Passport required.
• Must pass employment and deployment qualification requirements including psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, and background checks.
• Successfully complete both online and hands-on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training, including successful fit testing of DoD-provided protective gear.

Experience

• Minimum one year of general cleaning experience.
• Familiar with applicable fire prevention, ground safety, smoking, and security standards.
• Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Good communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements.

Additional Information

• Work is inside and outside with potential exposure to cold, dust, noise, and chemicals.
• Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
• Must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules and written instructions.
• Task-specific work environment training will be provided as required.
