Role Overview

Cladder position with Ghobash Group (GCG Engineering Services), based at various ADNOC project locations in Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose

Install, fabricate, and maintain sheet metal cladding systems for HVAC ducts, piping, vessels, tanks, and mechanical equipment to ensure proper weatherproofing, sealing, and protection of industrial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Fabrication

• Install aluminium, stainless steel (SS), galvanized iron (GI), and other sheet metal cladding over insulated HVAC ducts, chilled water lines, process piping, valves, flanges, vessels, tanks, and equipment.
• Measure, fabricate, cut, bend, roll, and fit cladding sheets according to approved drawings and site requirements.
• Fabricate elbows, reducers, tees, end caps, valve boxes, and custom cladding sections using sheet metal.
• Install removable cladding boxes for valves, strainers, flanges, and other maintenance-access components.

Quality & Securing

• Secure cladding using rivets, screws, bands, pop rivets, sealants, and approved fastening systems.
• Ensure proper overlap, sealing, weatherproofing, and finishing of all cladding installations.

Coordination & Documentation

• Read and interpret HVAC layouts, piping isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings, and insulation drawings.
• Coordinate with insulation crews to ensure insulation is correctly installed before cladding.

Maintenance & Safety

• Repair or replace damaged cladding during construction, pre-commissioning, or maintenance activities.
• Use sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Cladder in HVAC and oil & gas projects.
• Vocational training, trade certification, or relevant certification.
• Proven experience in cladding HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, process piping, vessels, and mechanical equipment.
