Role Purpose
Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities at project sites, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements while collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, QA/QC, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements, ensuring proper implementation on site.
- Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to approved procedures.
- Coordinate inspections with QA/QC personnel and client representatives and ensure timely closure of inspection comments.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Planning & Resource Management
- Plan, allocate, and monitor manpower, equipment, and materials to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications and project requirements.
- Maintain daily site records, manpower reports, progress reports, and material utilization records.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Construction Managers, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Participate in project planning meetings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Monitor site progress and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within quality standards.
- Enforce company QHSE policies and ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and permit-to-work requirements.
Problem Management & Escalation
- Identify site issues, propose practical solutions, and escalate technical or operational concerns to Project Management.
Project Completion & Documentation
- Support project completion activities, punch list clearance, testing, handover, and project close-out documentation.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience as a Civil Site Supervisor in Oil & Gas, EPC, industrial, marine, or heavy construction projects.
- Supervisory training or relevant construction certifications are preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong site supervision, planning, team leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD and project reporting systems is an advantage.
- Good understanding of civil construction methods, concrete works, structural foundations, industrial infrastructure, construction drawings, quality requirements, and HSE regulations.
