Role Purpose

To oversee day-to-day construction site operations, manage and lead field personnel, ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications, maintain project schedules and budgets, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and relevant departments to deliver successful civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Planning

• Establish and analyze processes required for civil construction.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet project deadlines.
• Manage construction execution budget and schedule.
• Organize and manage construction organization for own discipline.

Leadership & Personnel Management

• Lead field personnel and provide direction and guidance to subcontractors.
• Educate and train juniors consistently.
• Develop team capacity to higher level, skill and management wise.

Site Operations & Resource Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations on a construction site.
• Manage daily construction activities and coordinate resources, equipment, and materials on site.
• Manage construction site elements including safety, quality, materials, subcontractors, environment, drawings, productivity, and work front.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure that construction work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Manage proper completion of each installation task.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution

• Eliminate risk factors in advance and manage civil construction.
• Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts in a timely and efficient manner.

Subcontractor & Materials Management

• Be responsible for kick-off meetings, manpower requirements, and scope of work assignment for subcontractors with materials bulk assignment.
• Review and ensure all material take-off required is at minimum cost in respect with project standard and quality.
• Manage subcontractor payments and claims from and to subcontractors.
• Review and understand subcontract agreements, including scope of work, terms and conditions, and measurement definitions.

Stakeholder Communication & Documentation

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders, including attending meetings and providing regular progress reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients and sub-contractors.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and other project-related documents.

Budget Management

• Manage project budgets, including tracking costs, preparing cost estimates, and managing subcontractor payments.

Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in construction projects from project start to completion.
• Experience as a superintendent on oil, gas, petrochemical, or power plant projects.
• Engineering & Construction Company working experience.
• Extensive knowledge of project specifications and standards and small to medium project experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction techniques, particularly in survey, soil improvement (DC, SC, Pile, etc.), foundation work for plants (Mat, Isolated, Table top, Ring Wall, etc.), underground work (Cable Trench, Duct Bank, Manhole, etc.), pit and basin, precast concrete, dewatering, and shoring.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and measurement definitions.
• Ability to manage project budgets, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of construction projects.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to ensure safe conditions at the construction site.
• Ability to identify and resolve construction issues and conflicts that may arise.
• Familiarity with subcontractor management and construction scheduling.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for civil engineering and construction project management.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to provide guidance and direction to field personnel and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Civil construction experience required in the following areas: Survey, Soil Improvement (DC, SC, Pile, etc.), All types of Foundation Work (Plant Mat, Isolated, Table top, Ring Wall, etc.), Underground work (Cable Trench, Duct Bank, Manhole, etc.), Pit and Basin, Pre-cast Concrete, Dewatering, and Shoring.
