Role Overview
Chief Officer - SDPO (Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer) with NMDC Group.
Role Purpose
Operate and maintain Dynamic Positioning systems to meet operational requirements, ensure continuous safe DP control room operations, and supervise junior DP personnel.
Key Responsibilities
DP System Operations
- Operate DP system according to operational requirements.
- Carry out setup of DP system operating parameters.
- Ensure all DP system data are recorded.
- Maintain continual on-duty scheme in the DP control room.
Equipment Maintenance & Inspection
- Assist in performing maintenance on DP equipment.
- Carry out frequent inspection on DP system sensors, computers and references.
Compliance & Standards
- Implement IMCA requirements related to DP system.
- Ensure familiarity with and adherence to IMCA requirements related to DP system.
Personnel Development
- Ensure that the JDPO (Junior Dynamic Positioning Officer) is well trained and capable of handling DP system.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma.
- Full and unlimited DP certificates.
- Minimum of 4 years experience on DP vessels.
Skills & Competencies
- Good English Communication skills.
- Good knowledge of safe practices related to DP operation.
