Role Overview
Certification Center Officer (Chemical or Textile) with SGS, the world's leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company.

Role Purpose
To ensure correct and timely Certificate of Conformity issuance while maintaining productivity and quality targets for the Certification Center through technical assessment, compliance review, and conformity assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Conformity Assessment & Certification
- Assess product and exporter risk levels in relation to applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify product essential requirements and applicable standards following Business Rules on conformity assessment, classification, import eligibility and process flows.
- Conduct conformity assessments, audits, and gap analyses on products, processes, and documentation.
- Prepare conformity reports, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
- Support certification, accreditation, and approval processes.
Standards & Classification
- Interpret national and international standards including ISO, IEC, and regulatory directives.
- Provide quality and technically-based opinion on product standards and product classification.
- Assist in the resolution of standards, classification and certification cases and related requests or inquiries.
- Monitor changes in regulations and standards and assess their impact on operations.
Compliance & Quality
- Review and analyze products, processes, or documentation for compliance with regulatory and standard requirements.
- Investigate non-conformities and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Liaise with internal teams, regulators, certification bodies, and external auditors.
- Deliver timely customer communication with correct data and regulatory guidance.
Performance Management
- Execute KPI-driven tasks under strict adherence to timelines and turnaround times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Chemical, Textile, or similar background required.
- Entry level candidates and fresh graduates with chemical or textile background are encouraged to apply.
