Role Overview
Central Controller at Thales, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role assists the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing financial management and controlling functions within the country.

Role Purpose
To support the CFO in overseeing financial management across the country and controlling financial functions within UAE entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability of financial information while optimizing cash flow and supporting business growth through project controlling.
Key Responsibilities
Cash & Working Capital Management
- Monitor shared services KPIs with focus on Paid on Time.
- Manage project cash flow, including cash-in and cash-out activities.
- Forecast cash flow and optimize operating cash flow in collaboration with Operations.
- Review working capital requirements.
- Reduce Days Sales Outstanding on intercompany accounts receivable.
Financial Oversight & Compliance
- Support oversight of financial activities of UAE entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability of financial information.
- Lead audit activities and prepare financial statements for all UAE entities.
- Implement and maintain internal controls including ICMA and ICQ compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
- Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reviews.
Period-End Processes
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Government & Compliance Requirements
- Lead different ICV requirements, with occasional travel to Abu Dhabi.
Project Controlling
- In the medium term, with business growth, assume project controlling responsibilities for new projects.
Finance Transformation
- Participate actively in Finance Modernization initiatives in the country.
- Support implementation of agile tools and SAP improvements.
- Ensure convergence to best-in-class Finance organization through professional behavior, strong accountability, and cooperation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Audit background is required.
- Chartered Accountant or CPA with minimum 5 years' experience is a strong plus.
- Expert in accounting and IFRS.
